TabletKiosk to Launch Centrino™ Based Sahara Tablet PCs

TabletKiosk is announcing the release of their next generation Sahara Slate PCs called the i-Series that will be based on the Intel® Pentium® M technology. TabletKiosk's new flagship product, the Sahara Pen Tablet i213, is based on the Intel Centrino mobile technology and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, using a combination of new and industry standard power management features to extend battery life.

TabletKiosk is announcing the release of their next generation Sahara Slate PCs called the i-Series that will be based on the Intel® Pentium® M technology. TabletKiosk's new flagship product, the Sahara Pen Tablet i213, is based on the Intel Centrino mobile technology and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, using a combination of new and industry standard power management features to extend battery life.

Priced from $2,095 for the finger touch screen and $2,195 for the digitizer version, the Sahara i-Series expands the tablet solution set being offered by TabletKiosk. "We have a loyal following with our touch screen PC solutions and we feel that these Intel based systems allow us to offer a solution for those markets which require the stronger processing power that the Intel Centrino processor provides," said Martin J. Smekal, President & CEO of Sand Dune Ventures. The Sahara Touch-it Tablet PC will be offered with processor speeds of 900MHz, 1.0GHz and 1.3GHz, running either Windows XP Home or XP Professional. The Sahara Pen Tablet will be offered in either a 1.0GHz or 1.3GHz processor speed, running the XP Tablet Operating system.

TabletKiosk's new flagship product, the Sahara Pen Tablet i213 is based on the Intel Centrino mobile technology and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, using a combination of new and industry standard power management features to extend battery life.

Each slate style system is equipped with a 12.1-inch display, 802.11b/g wireless capabilities, 40 to 60GB Hard Drives that are user-upgradeable and memory options ranging from 256MB to 1.0GB. These systems will be fully supported by the full line of Tablet PC accessories developed for the Sahara Slate PC line, including but not limited to Battery Charger, Hands-Free Carry Case, Portfolio Carry Case, VESA Mounting Plate, Protective Rubber Bumpers, IR Keyboard and Mouse Combo.

The Sahara Slate PC i-Series will begin shipping to TabletKiosk's network of value-added dealers in September. The unit comes with TabletKiosk's standard one-year limited exchange warranty expandable to two or three years.
