The Hidden Fortune In Your Negative Thought Patterns

Achieve your goals without changing your thought patterns. You can and will work beautifully with what you've got!
THE STORY – A salesman gets into his car after his second appointment of the day. He is still looking for his first sale. He puts the key into the ignition and starts the car, preparing to drive to his third appointment.
FACT: A sale was not made.
THOUGHTS:
"I'm not cut out for this stuff."
"We won't be able to pay the mortgage this month."
"I'm a horrible salesman."
FEELINGS:
Dread
Fear
Self-Loathing
IMAGINATION:
As he pulls away from the curb, all the above facts, thoughts and feelings begin to 'play' on his mind, as if he has created a theater up there in the gray matter. He is not aware he is doing this. He vividly creates the scene of his next appointment in his mind. The scene gets stuck, kind of like a hiccup and begins playing over and over in his mind.
If you were at this movie in his mind what scenes do you imagine making up the movie? As a movie watcher, how do you feel? Can you predict how successful his next appointment will be? Whether a sales person or not, can you relate to a day like this? As a parent? As an internet business owner? As an executive? Of course you can!
Self-help and motivational books and tapes tell you over and over again that you have to take on new thought patterns to be successful at your endeavor. How has all that worked for you? Yes, that's right, it mostly does not work at all! It is not natural to take on a whole new pattern in thinking, apply it regularly and create a "new you." And frankly, there's no need!
Let's review the exact same story and thought process with a twist:
FACT: A sale was not made.
THOUGHTS:
"I sure would have liked to have had that sale."
"I can see no one is selling that guy much today!"
"I sold a difficult prospect like him just last week."
FEELINGS:
Disappointment
Reminiscing
IMAGINATION:
As he pulls away from the curb, all the above facts, thoughts and feelings begin to 'play' on his mind, as if he has created a theater up there in the gray matter. He is not aware he is doing this. He begins to re-play the scene from last week's successful sale. He allows himself to be taken in by the movie upstairs. It's as if he has teleported backwards in time. like he's right back there in that exact moment. Before he knows it he has arrived at his next appointment.
How do you predict he will go into his next appointment? How has the odds shifted in his favor for a sale? Did he change the structure or pattern of his thoughts? Absolutely not!
What's the big secret in our second edition of the story? Well, there's actually 3 Big Secrets!
He allowed a FACT to be just that, and didn't allow his THOUGHTS to reflect on WHO HE IS as a person. Without blasting himself with negative judgments about his self-worth his entire FEELING response was different. He keyed on a success story from the previous week and allowed himself to feel the story vividly, over and over, in precise detail.
How powerful! How simple! There's nothing new to learn. Use the exact same process, which is natural to you. Just twist it for your success! How long will you wait to apply this in your own life?
