The Chocolate Fountain - Chocolate Fondue Times Ten

Does a waterfall of melted chocolate cascading down onto an awaiting strawberry sound appealing to you? Or have you ever wanted to serve chocolate fondue at your birthday, wedding or other catered event but didn't have 100 fondue pots to accommodate all of your guests? Well look no further, the chocolate fountain is perfect for you.

A chocolate fountain takes the best of chocolate fondue and reworks it into a more crowd friendly form. Chocolate is heated up into liquid form and pours out of the fountain in a beautiful display that's sure to attract the most attention at the dessert table. Usually there are two or three tiers to the fountain that give the chocolate waterfall the shape of a multi-layered wedding cake. Guests choose a pre-cut dessert of their choice such as fruit, cakes, marshmallows or anything they can put on their fork and coat it by holding it in the chocolate flow for a moment.

There are now home versions of the chocolate fountain available. They are nifty little devices that bring the luxury of the chocolate fountain right into your home. Chocolate & vegetable oil are melted and poured into the appliance's reservoir and that's it. Switch the fountain on and you're ready to start dipping. Even clean up is easy because some of these home fountains are dish washer safe.

Chocolate Fondue is an intimate dish best enjoyed by a few friends sitting cozily around a fondue pot. But for larger parties and events, the chocolate fountain can't be beat. Not only will it bring an elegance to your dessert table but it will also deliver in the taste department. Who can resist a delicious chocolate covered treat?
